NATIONAL CITY, California. – Frank Subaru is partnering with Sackcloth & Ashes to serve the homeless in San Diego County. Thursday, January 30, 2020, Frank Subaru and Sackcloth & Ashes will announce their partnership at a Launch Event in the Frank Subaru showroom.
Bob Dalton is the founder and CEO of Sackcloth & Ashes, an Oregon based company that sells eco-friendly wool blend blankets. For every blanket someone purchases, they donate a blanket to a local homeless shelter. Dalton heard about the amazing work that Frank Subaru is doing to serve the local community in San Diego and he wanted to join them and take it a step further.
Frank Subaru, alongside Sackcloth & Ashes, will be donating 1,000 blankets to San Diego homeless shelters including San Diego Rescue Mission and the Monarch School via Young Life, and families transitioning out of homelessness with Humble Design San Diego.
“We believe in being a positive force in something bigger and it starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions,” says Ron Fornaca, President of Frank Subaru. “We are proud to announce our partnership with Sackcloth & Ashes and provide blankets to our San Diego homeless shelters.”
“The only way we are going to create real progress with any social issue is through collaboration,” Dalton said. “Sackcloth & Ashes goal is not just to provide blankets to people who need them, but to highlight people and organizations that are creating solutions for homelessness. We want to celebrate that and join in with them.”
Frank Subaru’s Launch Event will take place Thursday, January 30th, 2020 at 6:30pm in the Frank Subaru Showroom.

Bob Dalton was inspired to start Sackcloth & Ashes to help the homeless population when his mother, a hardworking, single mother, found herself living on the streets in 2013.
